The magical season ended last night for the Croatan soccer team as they where dismissed from the playoffs by perennial powerhouse Swansboro, 6-1. Croatan squeaked into the playoffs after a .500 season. Then, they bounced two higher seeds on their way to last night’s Elite 8 matchup against the Pirates. Hats off to the boys from the ‘Tan for a job well done this season. With only 3 seniors on the this year’s squad and a strong feeder system, Cougar soccer is on the rise!
East Carteret Mariners Head Down Playoff Trail
This Friday night, the #2 seed Mariners face a tough Midway team in the opening round of the state 1AA Playoffs. The Mariners will be at home and welcome the support of all county football fans. Hear Coach Kiefer’s comments on the game in his latest CoachCast.
