Sports Report from the Croatan Diamond
March 15, 2007 at 11:03 pm | In Uncategorized | No CommentsThe Croatan JV baseball team improved its record to 7 wins and 0 losses with a 4 to 1 victory over South Lenoir Tuesday afternoon. Sophomore Aaron Stull pitched a complete game scattering 3 hits while striking out 13. Stull, in picking up his 3rd victory of the season, did not walk a batter.
Ryan Cranmer, freshman shortstop, led the Cougar attack with 4 hits, including a triple. Brandon Fulford and Matt Stewart each contributed 2 hits, as the Cougars totaled 13 hits.
The Cougars jumped on South Lenoir scoring 2 runs in the first inning and another run in the 2nd inning. South Lenoir’s lone run was unearned.
Croatan JVs play non-conference foe White Oak on Wednesday and then return home for a conference game against rival Swansboro.
