It was interesting to see the latest on middle school standings and the comment of "But their last two games have each been decided by one score." Our coaches were just discussing this with friends of ours - some fellow coaches in our conference, and it seems like running up the scoreboard has become an issue this year. Scoring some 38-44 points is fine when it's in a win and the other team has 30-38, but we need to realize we are middle school and there is no need to see how many you can put up in a win that is already well in hand. We play to win and yes the conference championship is a goal, but so too should be sportsmanship and winning with pride and humility, which is why we are so proud of our young men here at Morehead Middle.
